Dreaming of Allah is among the most serious and tender dreams a person can have. In the classical Turkish dream tradition, Allah cannot be compared to anything in creation, so the meaning of the dream depends entirely on how He appears and what happens between you and Him. A vision that makes no attempt to picture or describe Him is read as pure good; any attempt to place Him in a form or a place is read as a warning.

Seeing Allah in His Splendour

If you dream that you behold Allah with awe and majesty, without any shape, likeness, or description, it is taken as a sign of good in every respect. The dreamer is said to be heading for beauty in this life and safety in the next. The same is true if you only sense that you have seen Him; this is interpreted as faith, guidance, mercy, and freedom from every kind of evil. For someone who has suffered oppression, such a dream promises victory over enemies and the lifting of a heavy burden.

Hearing Allah Speak From Behind a Veil

If Allah addresses you from behind a curtain or screen, the old commentators say that His words will come true exactly as spoken. The dream itself points to strength in religion, steady earnings, respect, and a rise in standing. If you hear His voice but cannot see Him, and the voice comes from behind a wall, it is a particular sign of promotion and growing honour in your work. Should you be unable to look at Him while He speaks, this is read as His mercy falling upon you and His gifts being poured out generously.

Standing in Allah's Presence

To dream that you are standing in Allah's presence, or that you are His guest, or that you are praying before Him, is an excellent omen. It suggests that you will be saved through His mercy, that your wishes will be granted, and that you may even reach the rank of martyrdom if that is your desire. When a righteous person sees themselves standing and looking at Allah, it is a sign of goodness and mercy; when a person who is not righteous sees this, it is advice to change their ways. If you dream that Allah accepts you, your prayers, reading, and worship are considered accepted; if you are not a sincere person, the dream warns that you are following an innovation.

Receiving Something From Allah

If in your dream Allah gives you something from the goods of this world, the tradition warns that this is not a happy sign. It is taken to mean that trials or illness are approaching. Similarly, if Allah promises to forgive you and admit you to Paradise, the dream is a reminder that you are in His hands and that you should live in awe of Him. Fleeing From Allah

If you dream that you run away from Allah in fear while He wants you, it is a grave warning, especially if you have been careful in worship. The old commentators say that you may abandon your devotions and go astray, or that you will turn against your parents, or, if you are employed, against your employer. Seeing a veil between yourself and Allah is read similarly: it points to major sins and a departure from the straight path.

Allah in a Place or in a Human Form

To see Allah in a particular place or in the form of a relative or another person is treated very seriously. If He appears in a physical place or is described in any way, the dream is considered confused and is not interpreted as a true vision; it may indicate that someone is speaking falsely about Allah. When Allah descends upon a town or region, it is said that justice, abundance, and cheapness will come to that place. If He appears with wrath, the dream warns of destruction, plague, and calamity for the people of that place. Seeing Him in the face of a loved one means generosity and favour, but often also a trial sent to increase your reward.

Calling, Supplicating, and Seeking Refuge in Allah

If you dream that you call upon Allah and He answers, or that He calls you and you respond, the interpretation is that you will perform the pilgrimage to Mecca. Begging or pleading with Allah in a dream shows that you are drawing closer to Him and that people love you. Seeking refuge in Allah from Satan, by saying the protective words, is a positive sign: you will gain useful knowledge, be guided, stay safe from enemies, become wealthy through lawful means, and if you are ill, you will be healed. Acting in a way that pleases Allah in the dream is said to mean that you will love good friends and leave bad ones.

Dreams of Allah are never read simply. The same vision can be mercy for one person and a warning for another, depending on the dreamer's state and the exact scene. What remains constant is that such a dream calls you back to sincerity, humility, and the awareness that you are always in Allah's sight.
